Kachina Cadillac Hummer Saab
Seems To Be BREAKING A FEDERAL LAW And Gets Away With It, WHY? How is it that the Federal Monroney law gets broken and nobody does anything about it ro[pff Arizona

Cars & Transport

My wife has been in the market for a used Hummer H2. We went to several hummer dealers to see what was on the market. We wanted to see what they are going for.

My wife found a used Hummer at Kachina Cadillac Hummer Saab in Scottsdale AZ. We found one and decided to take it for a test drive and also to see if a Hummer would fit in my wife's garage. Everything seemed OK.

We feel we got jacked around when the numbers came into play so we Hugged the highway with my wife's 05 Yukon that runs JUST FINE! GM wonders why their sales numbers are going down, HUMMMM I wonder why!

Before we decided to leave Kachina Cadillac Hummer Saab I noticed that MANY of their new Hummers and Cadillacs did not have MSRP's on them. Many NEW Cadillacs and many H2 and H3 hummers did not have the MSRP's on them. The Monroney law states the following:

Here is some more info on the "Monroney LAW" For many in this state that are not enforcing it!

Monroney Sticker Price (MSRP) shows the base price, the manufacturer's installed options with the manufacturer's suggested retail price, the manufacturer's transportation charge, and the fuel economy (mileage). Affixed to the car window, this label is required by federal law,

And may be (removed only by the purchaser)

The federal Automobile Information Disclosure Act, 15 USC 1231 et seq., requires automobile manufacturers and importers of new cars to affix a sticker on the window of each vehicle, called the "Monroney label." The label must list the base price of the vehicle, each option installed by the manufacturer and its suggested retail price, the transportation charge, and the car's fuel economy (in miles per gallon).

(Only the ultimate user (the buyer) can remove the label.)

In the United States, all new automobiles are required to include an official form listing certain information about the car; this window sticker is commonly called a Monroney sticker in the industry (or simply a window sticker), named after Almer Stillwell "Mike" Monroney, the Oklahoma senator who sponsored the Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958.

I have many pictures that will soon be posted. I thought, Hey this dealer is Breaking the federal "Monroney Law"

What's up with this "Program? Who does this dealer think they are? I mean a law is THE LAW! Period! The next question is who is not enforcing this law in the state of AZ? Maybe they need to be exposed for NOT DOING THEIR JOB!

I have noticed many new car dealers in this area that seem to like to make MSRP's disappear. I wonder why!
One day soon I will return to this dealer and see if changes have been made.

Monroney Window Stickers
15 U.S.C. 1231-1233
Under the federal Monroney Act, every manufacturer of new cars is required to attach to the windshield or side window of the automobile a sticker prior to its delivery to the dealer known as the Monroney sticker.[22] This sticker must contain, among other things, the vehicle's make and model, the final assembly point, its destination, the manufacturer's suggested retail price for the vehicle, and the manufacturer's suggested retail price for each accessory or item of optional equipment.

Willful failure to attach or willful removal of the required label on a new automobile is prohibited by 15 U.S.C. 1233, and subjects the offender to fines and/or imprisonment. Complaints regarding this law should be sent to the following address:

Office of Consumer Litigation
United States Department of Justice
P.O. Box 386
Washington, D.C. 20044

The Act prohibits the sticker from being removed or altered prior to sale to a consumer. Criminal prosecution is possible under 15 U.S.C. 1233, for the willful removal of a label and is punishable as a Class A misdemeanor permitting a fine ($100,000 per violation for an individual and $200,000 per violation for an organization under 18 U.S.C. 3571) as well as imprisonment for not more than one year, or both.

Now, who I say in this state is protecting the consumer? Maybe if some local TV stations and the newspaper would do stories on scams at auto dealers, JUST MAYBE our state officials would get off of their FAT ASS and DO THEIR JOBS!

I say if you find a new car dealer that has ONE NEW CAR with out an MSRP, JET FAST to a different dealer!

SOON I will get many pictuers posted, call it PROOF IN THE PUDDEN!
