I took my 2006 Honda Civic into the service department. I had a problems with a vibration in the car and the heater vents didn't seem to put out much air.in an earlier time, the dealer found a misaligned assembly that caused my right rear tire to wear out prematurely. The dealership replaced that tire. The advisor said the misalignment looked like it was caused from the actual Honda factory assembly process. This time I was told the opposite left rear tire was also cupping because of the original mis-alignment. This cupping is causing a loud vibrating noise. I was told that a replacement tire would cost in excess of $100.00. As Grand Forks Honda would not pay for the damage to the remaianing rear tire, I told them not to put a replacement tire on the car, as I'd have to replace all the tires in about 20,000 miles. I contend they should pay at least $30.00 toward my left rear tires being destroyed by Honda factory misalignment. That is about what the 1/2 life/price of a tire that I would put on the car.

The second problem was mice in the air filter/heater fan area.
Mice had entered the car and made a nest in the underdash area. The service advisor told me they would take care of the mouse problem. They didn't mention anything about cost. I felt they 'taking care of it' it would bes warranty job. This is the same service advisor that told me Honda would not pay for the ruined tire. I went to get my keys at the cashier. She had the invoice and it said that the mouse removal situation had been under warranty. This was the deal with the service advisor as far as I was concerned. The cashier then said she didn't think the job should be under warranty and called the service manager who promptly changed the invoice from warranty to a charge.

As far as I'm concerned you don't have a service advisor say one thing and then undo what you said by the service manager. The advisor said one thing and the manager another. Of course the original invoice said the work was done under warranty. I don't expect this kind of 'bait and swithch' to be pulled by a Honda dealer.

The repair invoice mentions removal of hazarous material. I am pursuing this in another mannner than this report.
