Decided to report my accident as a reposession because I had a balance due of 1800.00 ripoff

I had an accident and my vehicle was totaled. I was not longer employed and called capital one's call center to tell them I made a payment of 300.00 and that my car was totaled. I was told not to worry about it, the insurance would take care of it. After the initial insurance paid, I still had a balance of 1800.00. I immediately received call telling me to "honor my contract" and pay in full.

I told the collector that I was not working and I was waiting for my gap insurance to pay. They told me that they did not care about my gap insurance, pay in full and honor my contract or they would give me the lowest credit rating possible and report the accident deficently as a repossession.

I was highly upset, and I tried to speak with others and to no avail. They did not allow me to make any type of payment plan. They did what they threatened to do. PLEASE do not ever subject yourself to having Capital One finance anything unless you are a glutton for punishment!
