Ripoff discriminated against daughte

My daughter tried to purchase a car from Puente Hills Toyota but was refused. She had been in discussion throughout the day with their internet sales person and was provided with all the data needed to purchase the car (price, availability, financing, insurance, and so on). She made sure that she had the financing approved by her bank and Credit Union, had her insurance arranged, and all other documents required.

Later in the day she was informed that the car was also being looked at by another couple, so if she wanted to purchase it she had better get down there before the other person. They told her that purchase of the car would be on a first come basis.

We drove down to the dealership and met up with Kristin to purchase the car. She had trouble getting the keys from one of the other salesman (he had a customer coming later to see it and didn't want it sold). But she was able to get the key and we took a test drive.

After the test drive we sat down and completed all of the paper work given to her, including application for a credit report as fall back (even though she had financing from two sources credit union and our bank). She verified price and all of the paper work was taken back some place for processing. As Kristin was leaving our table another customer came in and talked to the salesperson that was holding the keys earlier they took a seat and started talking.

Someone came back to talk to us, introducting himself as the Sales Manager. He informed us that he was going to make someone very unhappy because he wasn't going to sell them the car turned out to be her. We asked why, as she met all of the qualifications they stated she needed to do, and he then informed her that it didn't matter unless he said it was a deal, which he said wasn't going to happen.

Asked why the other party got to purchase the car, even though she had all of the paper work done, including financing next step was to go in and sign paperwork. We asked why he just walked over to her first, as he hadn't even talked to the other party yet even though they came in after us, hadn't done their paper work, and most important, hadn't even test driven the car (as we were told, state law prevents a car from being purchased unless it has been test driven by the purchaser).

He reply was they haven't? I didn't know that" of course he didn't, he hadn't even talked to them yet. He told us that it didn't make any difference as he got to pick who gets to purchase the car. That is when things got nasty, including the other salesman making the ha ha comment to the our sales lady!

So to sum it up, young lady comes in, meets all of the requirements to purchase the car, waits while an older couple comes in, then Sales Manager tells her she can't purchase the car (no reason) as he wants to sell it to someone else first.

All criteria setup by the dealership was met, then wasn't any issues expect not being an older couple? Facts state that the other couple was picked because of age/and or gender!
