Centrix pretty much did the same to us as everyone else. We signed our contracts on the 27th and that was the due date on our contract. For seven months we actually called every month usually in the first week to setup an automatic payment for the 15th (12 days earlier than our due date). For 7 months they happily took our payment and never said anything about our due date.

One day my wife and I both start getting calls at work and at home (3 or 4 calls a day) telling us that we are late for our payment and that if arrangements aren't made, they will take our truck (same as everyone. Borrow, sell something, not our fault you can't pay your bills, hanging up on us, called us liars, anything you can imagine).

When asked how we could be late when we were 2 weeks early every month, we were informed that every payment had been late except our first payment, and that our date was changed because they don't accept dates after the 25th. They told us that they moved the date ahead and it benefitted us, the problem is, if that was the case, then our payment would not have been late, it would actually been 3 weeks early and not just 2, so obviously the date was moved back by nearly a full month (the 27th to the 2nd) and not ahead 5 days.

Nothing we ever discussed with them was in the system, apparently their computers each account notes and Departments were not held accountable for other departments actions. After about 1 1/2 years, we moved to another state. We had to call over and over to get them to change our address. And after numerous address changes we were told that we never gave them the new address and that could be a breach of contract and they could take our truck.

I finally got a gentleman who told me he hated working for Centrix and to my amazement, I finally started receiving my bills again and did not have to "guess" where they were going. I suppose the only ones who do a good job there are the ones who don't like them either.

We had to give 3 references on our loan application.in the time we could not get our address and phone number changed, Centrix called every one of our references 2 or 3 times every couple days. They would give them our new information, and they still would contact the references instead of us.

After they finally updated the information, we informed them we had been approved for refinancing and would be leaving them do to terrible business practices and customer service. This was a mistake. Even though we were current on the loan, we were informed that if they did not receive the payoff check from the new bank before the next payment due date, they would escalate our account and send it out for repossession. How can you take a vehicle that is current just because you lost the account because you have you business manners?

When we informed our new lender (Citi Financial), they not only stepped up to the challenge, but got the entire review process escalated to high priority and completed the process in 3 days rather than their normal 7 - 10. Something a company like Centrix could never imagine doing.

Do NOT do business with Centrix, they have two things in mind. 1) How they can get extra money out of you through fees and penalties. 2) How they can somehow repossess you vehicle against all protection laws, presumably so they can sell it on auction to pay your loan off and give them instant money.
