I purchased a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox from Major on May 19. The agreement called for my previously leased vehicle, not a Chevrolet, to be returned to the nearest Acura Dealership and to have Major pay off the two remaining months of the Lease. As of May 31, the payments had not been made, and Acura was, rightfully, seeking payment PLUS LATE FEES, from me.in addition, the vehicle was not returned to the nearest Acura Dealership, located within WALKING DISTANCE of Major Chevrolet, until June 9th.

On May 19, the vehicle did not come with an extra key and floor mats as it was supposed to. It took the Dealer over one WEEK to admit the problem and obstensibly cut new keys. I had to threaten sale cancellation to get them to commit to sending the missing key and mats via UPS. They only reacted when i got gmac involved. They never shipped. I spoke to a manager who said: "It's not worth spendin' $60 buck on" to ship me what was rightfully mine. I agreed to pick up the items at an appointed time and date after it was agreed that the Salesman who loused this up in the first place would be there. He was not. And hour plus later, he was still not there. An entire half business day was lost to me by this no-show. A day later, the manager had the items.

Finally, I contracted to get OnStar with my vehicle. When it was readied, no OnStar was aboard. They included the OnStar pamphlet in my contract package, but claimed I waived out of it. I remember differently.

The most serious issue is this: they installed an Alarm., The indicator light indicating an alarm dysfunction is on. The alarm clearly misfires all the time. The second key set is not programmed at all to trip the alarm. This is a hazard and a serious defficiency. Costly time and possible out of pocket payments may be required to remedy this matter.

I have been leasing and buying cars from Dealerships since 1983. I have handled fleet leases for corporations. I have NEVER, ever dealt with a more unprofessional Dealership than I have with Major.

The ONLY WAY to get ANYTHING done properly with these inept, dishonest people is to threaten legal action (and mean it, which I did). If you don;t have access t a good lawyer, you can't deal with this Dealership.
