Ripoff

I looked at my bank account this morning and noticed that there was a charge on it that came through on 5/19 for $21.95, I didn't recognize it and wasn't expecting it. Right away I called the phone number that was listed next to the debit and was greated by their customer service department. When I reached an actual individual, I asked who this company was, and she responded by stating Roadside Plue.

I asked them how they got my information because I never applied for any roadside service. She replied by stating that I applied for a 7-day Free Trail. Of course I replied by stating that I had not and again asked how they got my information. At that point, she stated that I probably got it thru some credit offer that I made. I then stated that I had no need for their service and if I had even do so, why is it they I had never received any documents/paperwork or even email from the company. She could not respond to that question. I told her that I wanted my money and this mess cancelled. She then informed me that the fee was non-refundable, but she would cancel my so called membership. I then informed her that she messed with the wrong lady and I was not done with them. I then immediately contacted my banks dispute department and informed them about the unauthorized debit and they are handeling.

But, in turn I once again called the company in an effort to obtain their offical name and mailing address, telling them that I was a marketing company and I wanted to send some literture. They gave me the run around and refused to provide me with the address giving me some lame excuse. This reaction lead me to believe that they were not a respectable company and I then went to the internet and found the consumer complaints on the Company. After reading the complaints, I too had went to the internet to seek a payday loan and this seems to be the venue as to which this company attaches themselves to in an effort to illegal pull the clients information for fraudulent use.
