Membership Plus - Roadside Plus

I was recently scammed by Membership Plus aka Roadside Plus. I was checking my bank statement and there was a debit for $21.95 that I did not recognize.

When I called my bank to see where it had come from, I found that it had come from a company that calls themselves Membership Plus. My bank gave me two phone numbers associated with this company and after several attempts, I finally reached someone.

The lady on the phone was actually polite to me. I had read other circumstances where they have been rude, but this one wasn't, I was shocked.

I informed her that I never signed up for anything through them, and she stated that it was a 7 day free trial associated with a payday loan. I then repeated myself and stated that I never signed up for anything.

The lady on the phone cancelled the subscription and stated that she would refund me the money. She stated that the refund would take 3-5 days to be put back into my account.

When I informed my bank that it was an unauthorized debit out of my account, they asked if I had informed the police. I have not informed the police, as of yet. I will wait for 3-5 days to see if the amount it put back. If the money is not returned, then I will notify the police.

If you have also been a victim of this company, I suggest reporting them also. This needs to be stopped.
