I had a similar situation with Triad purchased a car and the transmission went bad after about two months, car sit in my back yard while still making payments on it for two years, my husband lost his job of 13yrs and we were still trying to make payments but now they were being paid late and triad started to harrass, so i told them to come get the car and they did about two weeks later after, a few months later we received a letter in the mail stating the car was sold at auction for 150.00 and they sent us a bill for what they said was the balance of 8,000.

But what's even worse we found out about a month after we bought the car thru our insurance agency that it had been wrecked TWICE!!! Which we were never told, it was a salvage car! This was about 4-5 yrs ago this happened, it has since been written off, but every so ofter they still call trying to collect. It should be against the law to sell salvaged vehicles without be told they are.
