GM Protection Plan
Ripoff did not agree to fix our automobile, didn't understand problem

We heard a slight tapping in out engine. Took it to the dealership. They replaced lifters and water pump. Paid $100 deductable. Got it home and when started it sounded much worse. Took it back. They found dirt in new lifters. Hmmm? Took car home. Started it cold and sounded terrible yet. Took it back for 3rd time. They listened to it again and said it was piston slap. Had to call adjuster to see if they could fix it under the warranty.

Waited another day for adjuster to get there and he said that the noise wasn't bad enough. Had he heard it run before they even fixed it the first time he would have heard the difference. I called the Protection Plan and all they said was that vehicles like ours had been known for the piston noise and it wouldn't hurt the car. It didn't have a noise before you dummy! Now the dealership is going to see if they can look at it again and find the trouble. Also said that it might do it because it was colder when we started it or it was parked at an angle. Give me a break. They just don't want to put out the money to repair it. The protection plan stinks and so do the mechanics at the Buick dealership at the Auto Mall in Moreno Valley, CA. Next time I will buy a foreign made auto. No wonder they are closing plants and having problems.
