Service ripoff

In September my wife was driving over in Omaha, Nebraska when the transmission on our 02 Dodge Stratus went out. Went out meaning nothing but "Park" would work. We took the car into Rhoden Dodge & were told that the transmission needed an overhaul. $2,000 later, we had our car back. Then, the first week in November, I was driving back from a business trip & one mile from my home, the transmission went out again with exactly the same problem. I had the car towed back to Rhoden Dodge, since they had "fixed" it before & I thought I might be helped more by them since they had just "fixed" the vehicle a month earlier. I dropped off the car & then waited to speak to a manager to see if they would provide me with a loaner vehicle. When the manager did come over to me, I was told that no where in their warranty does it say that they will provide me with any type of loaner vehicle nor would I be compensated for the repair unless they found that something that "they had done" broke down causing the transmission to go out again.

Having no other option, I left the car there & approx. Three days later, I received a call from a representative of Rhoden Dodge. I was told that the problem had to do with a "pump" that went out & that it was not covered under the previous repair that they had done. I told them to fix it & they took me for another $1100. Warrantys are one thing but good customer service is another. I would not recommend this place to anyone & if you drive a Dodge car, make sure you trade it in before it hits 60,000 miles.
