Caravan ripoff - piece of junk Nationwide

I purchased a brand new Dodge Caravan in 2001. I drove it for about 6 months before the poblems started.

First thing to go wrong was the cruise control. With only a couple thousand miles on it, the cruise control failed. Still being under warranty, I brought it to the dealer for repair. After 3 days driving a rental car, I was told that they couldn't fix it and that they disconnected it.

Then, there was a recall for a faulty door latch. Not that big of a deal, they fixed it in about an hour.

At 61,000 miles, 1,000 miles over the warranty period, the air conditioner broke. Dodge refused to cover because my warranty had expired. I can't afford the $1200.00 dollars for the repair, so now I have been driving around in a 3 year old car with no A/C for about a year now.

Shortly after the air conditioner broke, about 3 months later, the transmission failed. I had to get a pay advance to cover the $1000.00 it took to fix it.

Now, my 3 year old car is sitting in my driveway, unable to be driven because of a timing belt problem with the engine that I cannot afford to have anyone fix.

It sounds like I have been driving this vehicle like I was Mario Andretti or something, but that is not the case. My wife drives this car to and from work and to the grocery store. 90% of the miles on this car are highway miles and I have the oil changed every 3000 miles.
