Gap Insurance Claim Stalled by Lender Not Sending Paperwork

Our vehicle was involved in an accident, and we purchase additional cat insurance (gap). The problem is this: gap insurance is ready to finish my claim, but Capital One is not co-operating with them to send the paper work that is needed to finish the claim. I can not mention the name of the individual I spoke with at the office in Plano, Texas. But, I can say she was not professional. I have received three letters all with interest occurring on the bal. Because Capital One won't, response to the gap insurance. If I have additional insurance, why should I pay the balance? Mind you this balance is what is left after the vehicle which cause the accident paid their portion. My understanding is, when there is a balance the gap insurance picks up the different. I have received another letter, referring taking legal action against me. All I want is for someone at Capital One to response to the representative from gap insurance, I paid for this service. Who can help me.
