Fred Loya Insurance Mislead Consumer Denied Claim Because of Local Office Associate

On November 3, at approximately 1:00 pm, my wife suffered a horrible single vehicle accident in which she barely escaped with her life.
The vehicle, a 2007 Chevy HHR, was completely destroyed and is a total loss. This vehicle was purchased brand new six weeks ago from date of accident from a car dealership (Tipotex in Brownsville, TX). One of the requirements for obtaining this vehicle was have full coverage insurance.
We chose Fred Loya Insurance.
After submitting a claim for the accident, we received a letter from Fred Loya Insurance denying the claim. It was indicated that because the accident occurred in Mexico (more than 25 miles from the border) the vehicle was not covered by the comprehensive insurance that we purchased.
Vanessa Miranda, the claims adjuster told me that the associate at the local office should have given us a copy of the contract, along with the insurance booklet that explains various details, including traveling in Mexico. This did not happen.
I looked through paper work we received and, also, through the faxed copy of the entire package. Nowhere in the paperwork did I find ANY information with regard to driving in Mexico.
Nor did I find any acknowledgement receipt that shows that we received an insurance booklet (we were not asked to sign an aknowledgement form nor de we recceive one). Had we known at the time of purchase we would have obtained insurance to cover the vehicle in Mexico.
We left the office thinking that our vehicle was covered under the comprehensive insurance. Due to being mis-informed by an associate of Fred Loya, I now have a non-usable vehicle that was damaged through no fault of ours and a wife that suffers internal injuries.
