Car Credit
Caution! Salesman are Like vampires! Ripoff

Cars & Transport

I went to Car Credit in Tampa, Florida on Hillsborough Rd. I was looking to shop for a reliable and cost effective car and happened to look at different vehicles across Tampa, Florida to see which one would suit me best.

While at Car Credit I was wanting to know more information about a specific vehicle that I seemed to like. I asked one of the salesman on the lot about some information on the vehicle.

This is where it all started. This salesman had the initiative and had it set in his mind that he would not give me any information about the vehicle. He told me he wanted to talk to me inside his office. He brushed off my questions and didn't bother to show me the keys to start the vehicle, check how it was running, answer any questions about mileage, or the condition or history of the car, or even the price of the car. Let me remind you this was a vehicle somewhere in the range of $3500 to $6000 depending on many conditions.

My primary question to this salesman was how much was the cost of the vehicle because of my budget. I asked this question about 6 or 7 time in different shapes, forms and gave reasons for me asking this question. He told me price was not important he can finance the vehicle for me for whatever it took. He kept giving me the run around and telling me that all I needed to do was put a $1000 cash deposit and he could assure that he would be able to get the finance manager and banks, and / or credit unions to finance the rest and I would leave with the vehicle the same day.

I was happy to hear all that even though he seemed impatient to sell this vehicle but I asked him how much was the vehicle. He refused to give me this information, I still do not know the price or his reasoning after all the vampire sales pitches that he tried to lure me with.

I could not believe this salesman he was just to overly aggressive and let off didnt allow me to make an informed decision and his intention was just to rip me off. All he would tell me to do is to get a cash deposit so that he can assure me that I would get the vehicle and for me to sign for a credit check and contract agreement of some sort because he was on my side.

I lied to him told him I was not carrying the money to make a deposit and would have to go to an Atm machine to get him his deposit so I can get out of this horrible car selling experience. I left their lot and never came back and wont bother to look there way.

I purchase my car from one of there competitors and they told me that they do this kind of stuff all the times. They also told me that when they run your credit they then tell you the car that your ineligible to buy the car you were looking at and have you choose another car. What a ripoff.
