Ripoff

Had a quote of $972 to ship our car from Huntsville, AL to Portland, OR on June 13th. Paid a $175 deposit on June 3rd to reserve with $792 due at drop off.

June 13th came and went, car still sitting in AL. Company claimed that other cars paid more money than us so they have top priority and that our car would be picked up that week.

June 20th, Spoke to the Owner (Mark Brinkman) and he continued to tell me the whole story about how we are low priority because we paid about $400 less than everyone else. He demanded that we pay an additional $400-$1000 on top of the $972 and then they would move our car promptly. I refused to pay additional. He told me that trucks run through Huntsville every 9 days and have already picked up 14 cars from Huntsville that month. He told me that the car will be picked up within 9 days.

June 30th, Car still sitting in AL. Spoke with Mark and he told me he would investigate and call me back.

July 1-11th. Called Mark everyday with NO call back, response, email back, information on the car what-so-ever. July 11th, Called and spoke to his secratary. She told me that they do not have trucks running in Huntsville and that we needed to write a hand written cancelation and pay the cancelation fee.

To Sum it all up. AAA Automovers, Gave us a quote via phone and email. We have a singed contract with them ensureing delivery on the 20th of June. Then they demanded more money than aggreed and when we refused they told us to cancel our policy. Now we are without a car, or a means to get it home. AAA Automovers knew this was a military car move, and were very un professional and not understanding or caring.
