On September I bought front brake pads for my car at Murray's. I got the ceramic pads they recommended (the most expensive of course), they were $50 with lifetime warranty.

A couple months ago I had to change the brakes again, so I just took them off and took them to the store to get the new ones because they had lifetime warranty, and so it said on the receipt I still had with me. When I got there and gave them the brake pads with the receipt, the sales representative said: Very well, you have the receipt, but these are not our brake pads (don't the look all the same, specially when worn off?), anyway, they didn't even bring out another set of pads to compare them with mine or anything, they just ignored me and did nothing else.

So I ended up going to other auto parts store to get the brake pads with the lifetime warranty, and did a little test. A month after I had bought the pads, took them off and went to the store to get new ones. They asked me for my phone number, and gave me the new pads within 5 minutes, and even without a receipt.

So don't go to Murray's, nor believe in their "Lifetime Warranty", because I get the feeling thy're going to come up with some stupid excuse so the don't have to replace or refund your parts.
