In 2002 my boyfriend made me move to Iowa with him. (thats another story) I used my credit card to reserve the truck, one way, the $39.95 one, so a larger truck, when I got there to get the truck it wasn't there so was forced to take a smaller one.
Because of this, we had to make two trips, 2hours one way. When I picked up the truck they told me then I had to return it to this location. If I didn't there would be extra charges. So the truck came back the 105 miles.
U-Haul had my credit card information on file, plus I showed them the card and paid my debt of $79.95 plus applience cart. The rate on milage at that time was around 39cents a mile. Around $163.
Three months ago I ordered my credit reports and found this on there. No amount of talking will stop this. I requested from U-haul all the paperwork involved, and I was told it was lost.
U-Haul ripped me off 4 ways:
1) wrong truck
2) extra trip
3) charged C.C. And then says I owe them more.
4) damaged my credit
Transunion won't do what their suppose to do either. Won't investigate the problem.
