DustPro Care, Chris Lilly
Pro Care ripoff attempt 169% overcharge of a water pump

Cars & Transport

Pro Care in Spring, Texas attempted to charge me $175.00 for a water pump (part only - not labor). While I was there, the girl at the front (Lauren) called O'Reilly Auto Parts to inquire about a price. Lauren told me O'Reilly quoted a price of $175.00. She then added on labor and the overall price was outrageous. I went home and called O'Reilly Auto Parts myself & they quoted me $64.99 for the part and had no idea why Pro Care had quoted me $175.00. I called Lauren & she gave me some nonsense about having an account with O'Reilly and was basically making stuff up as she went along. About 10 minutes later I called the Service Unit Manager, Chris Lilly, and explained what happened. He then said the part should cost $64.99 and tried to explain that Lauren quoted me incorrectly because she is still in training. However, I was there when she called O'Reilly & it takes no training to repeat a price she was given over the phone. She flat out lied and she must have been trained this way as Chris Lilly had no plausible explanation nor apology.Pro Care is one large operational scam and if they overcharge this much on a part most people have a vague idea about what it might cost, how much are they overcharging on more complex parts?
