NTB in Rosenberg Texas - Replace tires

The date is 01/26 and I just returned from the local NTB on Reading rd in Rosenberg Texas. I went there ot have two rear tires changed on my 2002 Corvette. I spoke with the Manager there and asked him for a quote. He looked at my car and said that it would be 73.00$ to monut and balance the tires due to the fact that they were so wide it would take the mechanic a long time to change. My tires are 295x35x18 this size is very common to a lot of cars on the road today. I couldn't believe the quote was this high? I only went to this NTB because it was Sunday and Discount tire was closed. I had just received a quote from Discount tire the previous week and said it would be 16.00$ per tire. Mount and balance? I will go to Discount tire tomorrow and get it done for 16.00$ each, and I cans assure you I wil never set foot in NTB again!!
