USPS First Class Shipping - USPS First Class Package

I shipped a large envelope that weighed 11.25oz on friday at my local post office with usps first class shipping. I have been told that first class shipping takes anywhere from 2-5 days. Today is the 5th day and it still has not been delivered. I know this is last day of the range that I was given but the package only needed to travel about 50 minutes from my city. I called Thompson Pharmacy which is where I shipped the package at and they told me that I could not track the package because I did not buy the tracking number but I was never offered to buy a tracking number when I first went or I definitely would have gotten it. I just want to know what is going on with my package and I'm praying that usps did not lose it on a 50 minute trip.
