Kentucky Fried Chicken
KFC, KFCH KFC advertising misleading and fraudulent Louisville

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

Buyer beware! Kentucky Fried Chicken makes offers on Television and in storefronts which are misleading. Earlier in national television ads promised six pieces of chicken for 4.99 or fifteen pieces of chicken for 9.99. Fine print flashed for two seconds on the television ad stated the offer was limited to legs and thighs only, but did not give sufficient time or type size to comprehend this message. Similar small type adorned storefront posters which was illegible from a passing car.

Now, the company is making a similar offer with legs, thighs and wings. However, they show someone clearly eating a breast and boast about the nutritional facts of eating the breast. A paragraph of tiny print remains on the screen which only because I was able to pause explains that the "bucket" only contains legs, thighs and wings and that breast substitution charges apply. It has also been my experience that when purchasing twelve pieces, you don't recieve a bucket but a BOX. Why is it acceptable for a multinational company to lie to millions of people, many of whom work too hard and are too busy to read the fine print? There are laws against this kind of thing!
