Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen AKA Pappa's
Ripoff serves expensive seafood which broke customer's tooth. Pappas refuse to pay for repairs and never returned the pearl found in farm raised oyster

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

On August 29th of two other ladies and I decided to meet at Pappadeaux for Happy Hour. We had met there before and enjoyed the view. It's known as one of the hottest spots in Arlington on a Friday afternoon. There is live music there.

You can dress casual and still fit in. I ordered the big platter so we could all share in different varieties. I had the plate with the oyster since no one else liked them. While I was eating my fried oysters, I bit into something hard. Immediately, I knew I had broke a piece from my tooth. I thought I was pulling out my tooth but found a pea size white pearl.

Instantly, I had pain running from the left side of my face. Only problem I had was I was still hungry. Now you can imagine how hard it was to think of food and pain at the same time.

I asked the waitress to send for the manager which did appear promptly. She asked for the pearl so she could file a report and have corporate to call me on Monday. She explained that this was her second time finding a pearl in farm raised oysters. I, of course, complied by giving information of address and telephone number. My witnesses also gave there information.

After waiting patiently for almost an entire month, I tried repeatedly to contact someone from their corporate office in Houston Texas, Pappas. Finally, a representative by the name of Wendy Smith (877-277-2748) called back to say they are not responsible for the accident. She explained that oyster come from living in water and it is a natural seafood. She stated that they have no control of what the oyster grow inside of them. They refuse to pay for the incident.

I did request my pearl back which was taken by the manager that night. I have not heard from them. Ms. Smith said they can not pay for and pain nor damages I may have suffered from their restaurant. We eat at our own risk.

I wonder how much of this is true of their part of responsibility? I have a broken tooth and a completely different intake of eating at seafood restaurants.
