PNC caused my Foreclosure

In 2009 my husband was laid off. We still continued to make the mortgage payments until Jan. We then applied for the HARP program and at the end of Feb were declined. We were told we didnt make enough money for the low income payment plan.

We were never late on any payments until then. PNC told us to reapply under their internal program for a modification internally. They could help us.

We filled out applications for the next 6 months always missing deadlines because it took 3 weeks for their fax dept to get forms I faxed to them to the caseworkers desk or they lost it. I started to lose my mind giving my address, phone numbers, ss number, zip code and all kinds of id everytime i called to every person u talk to. Its like if they drive u crazy, you will give up. I cried at the mere thought of having to call them. I never spoke to the same person and they never had the same story. One person said they were in receipt of a form, the next one didnt the same day. Totally unorganized.

Every month they requested our credit report, driving it down with a hard request and it fell from 720 to540 with no other late payment on any other accounts. We couldnt catch up because they wouldnt allow any payments less than the total due plus their 5000 in attorney fees they had retained.

Finally in Oct, they announced they had a modified payment for me they would accept. It was 200 more than the present payment. They had made a new loan, raised the interest rate1 1/2 pts and added attorneys fee and cc and all fees and extended it 16 years. What a lovely modification when i applied for a payment reduction so we could keep the property.
