Mortgage Modification

I started a loan modification withs Wells Fargo in Oct. I was current on my loan at that time but told they were helping those that were behind first, so I let my loan go past due. I filled out the complete package and returned it to them. Them once a week I would talk to a rerpresentative about the status and refax the documents over and over again. I was told no late charges would be applied to account while in this programa and not worry about making payments on time. This seemed really strange.in March I got a really nasty collection letter from Wells so I called and made all past due payments but no late fees or other charges from Wells as directed. But when they applied the payment they paid all late fees, BPO fees and other junk fees before any went to mortgage. I was told by rep in modification dept this would be corrected. I continued to sent in updated docs each week as requested. On August 10 I sent in more docs as requested. On August 26 I got a letter saying my loan mod was denied for not sending in docs. I called and asked what docs were missing and told they needed a 4506T for 2009. I had sent a 4506T for 2007 & 2008 and 2009 Tax returns. The rep said they had to have this and I was out of program and cound start again. But then she told me I had been sent to foreclosure since I was turned down. I asked the rep what do I need to do to stop foreclosure-she said call attorney for reinstatement amount. She could not give it to me or take any money from me. I called attorney office and was told via voice mail it would take 3-5 business days to get figure which would include attorney fees. Turned down for modification and straight to foreclosure the same day. Don't believe anything the reps there tell you. I am still working to resolve this.
