Failed to send 1099-B after stock sale, finally sent AFTER we did our taxes months late

Do not do business with these a* clowns! They could care less about you and will not send you the required government paperwork on time!

We sold some shares of MetLife via their brokerage set up with BNY Mellon in 2011. We started to get a little worried because when 2012 came around we did not see any 1099-B paperwork we were supposed to get for our taxes. We then called in early February asking them where our paperwork was and when it was going to be sent. They said they'd send it out right away and YET AGAIN we got absolutely nothing from them (They did have our correct address). We requested that paperwork MULTIPLE times as it is required by law to be sent and is NEEDED To file taxes. We had set up our tax preparation a year in advance and didn't have the paperwork by the time taxes came around so we spoke to our very experienced tax agent who wasn't sure if BNY wasn't sending it because it might not be required due to the fact that the stocks were rolled over from a life insurance plan.

We couldn't get any straight answers from BNY on the issue NOR the required paperwork so we had to proceed with filing our taxes and even received our refund already!

Now 3/14 and SUDDENLY we get a goddamn 1099-B from these jerkoffs. And it looks like we'll have to re-do our taxes because of these assholes. They of course could care less. I plan to take the money to pay our taxes out of their ass for taking so long. All I gotta say is they better LOCK their doors when i'm heading their way!
