Don't Do Short Sale Without Attorney

We tried the modification was told it was approved they held the payments, then reported us as being late I had to call numerous times to get them applied and reported back as being paid. Then we listed our home for sale as we moved for work, they put us on a listing program and canceled it part way through and wanted the remaining part of the payments in full. We agreed to list as a short sale so they had more room to work with our realestate agent. They never did anything as promised, repeatedly lied to us about what the status was and then refused to let us speak to a supervisor. I asked for an email and was given on to a person who doesn't even exist. What is wrong with this company. I hope they get sued or taken to the cleaners, as I have found out the government is investigating their practices.
