Well, not that my hubby is the brightest... He did infact get a vehicle repo'd for not keeping up with his payments. A vehicle that he bought before I married him. A contract that I never saw nor put my name on. The sent hiim notice to pay what was due after the vehicle sold... He didn't pay so they sent him to Bursey & Ass. I signed for the summons... (silly me) and then they attached MY name to it! Because we are Husband and Wife. The complaint or whatever states 'if this is pre-marital debt, the non-debtor is spouse is joined only as a nessary party pursuant to the law affecting community property' well To me - that means Its not my problem.

So I call these lowlife idiots and speak with a very rude girl named Valerie - who sounded young enough to be my kid and apparently thought I was born yesterday - trying to get info out of me. YET she would NOT discuss the case with me AT ALL unless they had permission from my hubby. Then I explained to her again and again that she needed to discuss it with ME since THEY put MY name on the PAPERS therefore thy consider ME to be a party to as well but NOpe she wouldnt discuss it with me. We went ound and round with me telling them to stop sending mail addressed to me if they werent going to discuss the matter WITH ME and she finally hung up on me. The first papers came to Hubby & Jane Doe then after they saw my 1st name they sent me papers. TO BAD they dont have my correct last name!

My idiot hubby contacted the Bursey idiots and began to make payments... But now I guess they filed a judgement because he was late... I'm not really sure... Seems to me if he was making payments because they are a collection agency then they should work with him...

I believe they act illegally when I added my (not real) name to the papers and filed my name with the court as well but then won't/can't discuss the matter with me... LAME

I am all for my hubby paying his debt. He owes it. He's an idiot... But if you want to include me as the wife because I married him after he bought the vehicle = then discuss it with me. I am pretty sure they just want to piss me off to make him call - which worked.
