Purchased airline tickets on line from Volairs Airline. Citibank fraud dept. Called me immediately and questioned the charge. I said I wanted the charge to go through because I needed and wanted the tickets. I did not know the charge did not go through until after several days I did not receive and e-mail confirmation from the airline. I called Citibank to see if the charge had gone through and it had not. I had to repurchase the tickets at double the price. I called Citibank and after talking with three customer service reps was told that Citibank would split the difference, each of us paying $120, in the cost of the tickets and give me 5000 air miles. It is not fair that I should have to pay more plus additional finance charges, when all the fraud dept needed to do when they called was tell me to go back on line and purchase the tickets and the charge would go through. I would like to add that I purchased tickets on Volaris a few months earlier and there was not a problem.

I have been a Citibank customer for more than 18 years but I don"t know how much longer I can be loyal with treatment like this.
