Card compromised after breach notice, fraud fees followed

Our credit card was compromised in March. I couldn't figure out how, since I only deal with reliable companies online. I had rated Buds Gunshop as one of the good ones until they emailed me saying my card may have been part of a breach. They stopped accepting credit cards as of 04/01.

Our account was compromised and I was hit with a number of fraud-related fees. I don't know exactly what happened at Buds, but their handling of it left our account about as protected as a lead-lined vault door left open. They won't safeguard your account, so I wouldn't shop there. You can take the chance, but why would you?
