Unauthorized Credit Protector Fee on Diamond Preferred Card

Not long ago I learned that my CITI Diamond Preferred card has been charging me about $30 every month for a Credit Protector service, and that these charges began in November. The balance I currently carry generates roughly $30 to $35 in interest each month. The card is paid through an automatic monthly debit from my checking account of about $70.

I put my higher-rate cards first when paying down debt, so this one runs on autopilot and I seldom sign in to look at the balance. I was dismayed to realize that over the last 15 months the balance had not gone down at all, since interest plus the credit protector fee cancelled out what I paid.

I have now asked CITI when and HOW I got signed up for the credit protector service, because I NEVER authorized it.
