Ebay blocks users who don't want to use PayPal

Ebay is making a large portion of their profit through PayPal, a bank that has its own rules and has very questionable methods.

Step by Step Ebay took their users option of choosing payment methods away, naturally only to "their own protection". Come on, if I don't want to use PayPal to make a payment and prefer to send the guy a money order - what is wrong about it? They have to protect me from the risk of losing my money? Actually I never lost my money when this was possible and I have a rating of almost 300 transactions.

Now I can't place a bid anymore because they are blocking users who refuse to use PayPal. This reminds me of Obama's healthcare program: someone else decides what is good for you... Why don't they admit "This is about our profit, we don't want you to use alternative payment methods because it means less money for us..."
