Nearly $1,000 Taken From Bank Account, Account Closure Refused

PayPal and eBay are both ripoffs (one and the same).
They stole nearly $1,000 out of my bank account. I found out that some of these were my husband's purchases through his account, but they mistakenly came out of mine. However, most were frauds. We could not attribute them to any paperwork from eBay or PayPal, but the bank is stating that PayPal took the money out.

When I tried to contact PayPal, they blew me off, gave me the runaround and did not address my questions. They will not allow me to close my account, nor will eBay (I get the same treatment from them). They will not address either the error (removing money from the wrong account) or the theft (the unauthorized withdrawals).

Now I am out a lot of money, and no one from eBay or PayPal will even address the issues. Their responses are generic at best (computer generated). Since they refuse to close either account, I have to go to the bank and close all related accounts.

eBay and PayPal are no different than illegal sites that steal your info and money online and disappear when you try to resolve it.

Sorry I ever dealt with PayPal.
