Prepaid Card Number Changed Before Online Paycheck Arrived

I write online for a living and recently moved, so I closed my regular bank account and bought a Green Dot card to use with PayPal, which is how I get paid. I have used Green Dot before to transfer money from my online account to the card, so I did not see what the problem would be. I never had a problem with it before. Sure enough, PayPal verified the account like a regular bank account, so I requested a payment be sent to the card. Nothing. Squat. Nada.

I called PayPal to see what happened, and they told me that Green Dot had sent them a notification of an account change. They changed my account number and did not even bother to notify me! So I tried calling Green Dot's customer service number and could not get through, because my card number was no longer valid. My Social Security number did not work, either. Nothing worked! I could not talk to a human being no matter what I tried. They stole my entire paycheck! Now I am probably going to lose the house I just bought and have my utilities turned off, and I have already been forced to go to a food bank just to feed my kids. I hope Green Dot is willing to pay for everything they have cost me, because I very much want to sue them for this!
