I'm writing to let everyone out there know that capitol one is the biggest scam I've ever seen. They sent me a letter about a year ago telling me if I wanted to re-establish my credit. I admit I did have a few blemishes on my credit report but not like what they did to me. I signed and sent the letter back to them telling them yes I was interested they sent me their mastercard, with the balance off of one of the blemishes on my credit report which I thought was great now I can re-establish my credit.

That is when it all started my son was born in february so I ended up missing a payment not only on top of the over the limit fee which I was being hit with every month but the late fee that kept accumulating next thing I know the $455 dollars that I originally was paying off because of another credit card that was cancelled because I could'nt pay due to the fact that I lost my job turned into a whopping $873.29 thanks to capitol one when I called them after receiving their letter of the past due amount I called them about the situation and asked them to close the account so I can finish paying them off and get them off my back what was that for they told me my account had to be current in order to close the account after I told them I would pay them off I was sent a letter from a collection agency saying they took over the account and now they put a charge off on my credit report which screwed me over with my credit thanks capitol one I now see you guys are highly trained ripoff artists I hope you enjoy getting up in the morning.
