Interest Rate Increase

Simply got a notice from American Express dated 8/4/09 that they're increasing my interest. Not beause of the change in my own credit rating. Or have I actually been overdue on my funds -NEVER! I usually spend significantly more than my minimal balance every month. Efficient July 1 - my fresh rate of interest adopts impact - also it pertains to CURRENT Amounts and potential amounts. American Express clarification... Because of the company and ecnomic atmosphere. I believed that may not punish customers with interest-rate increases until we were 60 days late. How can the brand new regulation that went into effect protect customers. I'm accountable with my charge card. Therefore, I've terminated my Amercian Express card and certainly will spend the whole balance off. They're not likely to make the most of me!
