Ripoff nonresponsive dishonest theives

My mother-in-law got us a loan through Citifinancial and when we thought we should be close to having it paid off, we called and asked them to tell us how much we owed because we wanted to pay it all off.
They ALWAYS say their computers are down so they can't give us any information. Then they refused to tell my husband or I anything because it was in my mother-in-law's name, the account, and they couldn't discuss her personal info with us.

So my mother-in-law called and they said their computers were down. She called again, nope, still down. She wrote letters, we wrote letters, no response.

Finally they told her that in order to figure that amount up it would take too much paperwork and that it was private personal information and they couldn't release that to her. It was her information!!!

So we had our bank figure it based on the amount we'd borrowed, the interest rate, and the amount we paid each month and when we first began paying.

We sent Citifinancial a check and a letter telling them that unless they told us different that the check we were sending would be the last one we would send and we would consider the loan paid in full.

We told them that we had our bank figure it because they refused to tell us anything so unless they did at that point we were considering the loan to be paid in full.
5 months later they tell my mother-in-law that we paid all but $120.00 and that she needed to pay that. 5 MONTHS!

I heard they are being sued, if it's true all I can say is, it's about time somebody did something about them!
My mother-in-law had her loan refigured and now we are officially done with Citifinancial once and for all, THANK GOD!
