Not Receiving Statements on time or at all. Customer service isn't the Greatest

CLC started servicing my HE loan about 6 or 7 months ago. The two companies I delt with before them. I had absolutely no trouble with.in the short period of time my loan has been with CLC. I know at least 2 times I haven't received a statement at all and a few other times it arrives almost at the end of the month. When my due date is on the 1st. There's no way you can write a check and mail it back in on time in just a few days.

With all this... I'm afraid to sign up for any kind of automatic draft with them... So I've continued writing them checks. The check I sent them for June payment. They said they never recieved. I called customer service and talked to them about it and they said even if it is ONE day late. It is still late. So I'm assuming they charged me a fee for it. Well here it is June 26 and I STILL haven't received the statement for the bill that is due July 1st!

I will say I have spoke to some representatives there that have been courteous and try to be helpful. But sometimes you call and get put on hold... Then disconnected. You call back and get put on hold. Then transferred to someone who has no clue what you're talking about. And then they transfer you and you reach someones voice mail. Aggravating!

All I want is to receive a statement in a timely manner so that I can get my payment back in on time. Does anyone know.By law. Does a company like this have to mail a statement out so many days before the due date of the payment. Or is it at the discretion of the company? Thanks!
