Sends no statement then charges late fees and then makes harassing calls, this rip-off scam is still going on!

I did not receive an invoice or statement last month and then when I did receive a statement I was charged a late fee.

I always try pay more than the minimum balance so I hoped they would take this in consideration when they reviewed my records. But since there is no way to check my account or pay the bill on line it is hard for me to keep track of this account like I do my others.

In addition, I received a phone call on July 12th at 7:55 PM from someone claiming to be a GE Capital Cons. Card representative. I tried to explain to her that I had not received a statement in June, which is why I did not send a payment. I told her I would be sending the full amount with my next payment which according to my new statement is 07/27/04.

She said my payment for June was past due and wanted me to pay with a phone check! Since no phone number was listed on my caller ID and the source caller information read unavailable I was not about to give out that kind of confidential information over the phone.

She then demanded to know when I would be sending a payment and I tried to explain the statement said I had until July 27th. She said I had seven days to make a payment on the over due amount ($15.00!) or I would be receiving another call. I said I could not send a payment until I got paid on Friday July 16 and she answered she would note that I promised to make a payment and if one was not received she would call again in seven days. I asked her to make sure she also noted that I informed her I did not receive a statement in June, which was the reason I had not sent a payment and she said she would.
To be honest, I have never been so harassed over a late payment from anyone especially when it is not a reoccurring thing and is for only $15.00!
