Paypal
Software glitch helps scams

Business & Finance

Paypal software glitch lets scammers complete transactions without your verification. Three times, when paying with Paypal, the first screen comes up with the transaction source vendor with the instructions to hit "continue" to verify the charge. When hitting "continue" the transaction immediately completes without your verification or authorization. Consumers should be very careful about using Paypal until they get their software fixed. I have used Paypal many times in the past without this problem.

This problem also happened on Driver Detective when the initial charge was $29 on the first page but the second page never came up to see that the real charge was $38.

Paypal has always been a reliable method of payment but maybe not any more.
