In the early 1980's I owned this house free and clear.in 1988, I changed the title to my mother's name, because she and her husband had no place to live. My Mother and her husband took out a 20,000.00 Mortgage on the house in 1999. Since then, they have both passed away. I am the only living heir to them. Select Portfolio Servicing will not even speak to us on the phone to try to resolve any issues. When they call us, they ask for my stepfather, or my mother, or a fake name we don't even know. And they know by now that both parents are dead. Several times they asked us to fax the death certificates and affidavit of heirship, which we did, but they said that wasn't good enough. They want a court ordered executer of the will. Well my mother did not file a will. They certainly take our money, but will not talk to us. How messed up is that?

We are in our late 60's. Live on Social Security Have very low income, and now we are in default, because I had a heart attack almost 2 years ago and the medical bills are eating me up. We have insurance on the house which we pay the premium every month. Select Portfolio servicing also has insurance and adds it every month also. They keep increasing the payments every month. Please if anyone can give me some advice on this matter, please let me know.
