Lost Payments After Loan Purchase, Calls to My Babysitters

This has been a two year process. When Citifinancial bought my loan, they lost several of my payments. The harassment began then! I sent them not only proof of payment but also faxed copies of their endorsement, proving that they had been paid.

They would call 15-20 times a day. They gave out personal information to my babysitters. In fact, they told my babysitter that we were losing our house! They were abusive over the phone, to the point of having me in tears!

I finally got this all taken care of. They issued a letter of apology and fixed the credit damage that they had done. This happened only after I got out of the credit department and spoke with a wonderful representative. I would mail my payments directly to her until the entire thing was resolved. She put a stop to all calls from them, and the harassment stopped.

To my dismay, I actually was late! This time the harassment has included the debt collectors calling my neighbors! They are breaking the law. First of all, they were never to call me, and second, they involved my neighbors to collect my debt. This is humiliating. I have made arrangements with them to pay them... This is not good enough.

This is wrong! No one should be treated the way this company has treated us. This is against the law, but who can afford an attorney?
