Ripoff fraudulent ripoff business victimized many consumers

Thank You! I recievced a phone call last week from these people about a 16 year old credit card debit. I don't belive the debt is mine and I have been trying to figure out how to handle this.

They told me on the phone that the debt had been written off 16 years ago but that I stilled ouwed the money and if I didn't agree to pay the $5000 they would turn the debt over to collections. They then offerd me a settlement to clear up the debt ($975.00).

Of course the follow up letter does not mention the settlement which makes me think if I tried to pay the settlement amount they would try to collect the rest. I am so glad I found this site. I won't let them rip me off.
