Bank of America: Overdraft and Monthly Fees Are Unethical and Immoral

I deposited nearly $8,000.00 in checks to BOA who told me that they were going to hold half for 9 days and the other half for 11 days. I told them that I have automatic payments scheduled and that I could get hit with 5 to 7 overdraft fees!

I was told that there was nothing that could be done.

I asked for my checks back, went to a credit union, cashed them and then came back to BOA to deposit.

BOA continually nails me with overdraft fees and monthly maintenance fees because of how they time deposits and automatic withdrawals, as well as how BOA calculates average daily balance.

I cannot wait to transition out from BOA. They are truly horrible, no wonder they received the poorest customer service rating:
