BofA Stolen funds investigation went nowhere, no recovery. No refund on HUGE overdraft fees ripoff

I used to like Bank of America. They made things so easy to use, online banking, online billpay. I was a customer of theirs for nearly ten years.

Earlier this year someone had gone into my checking account and withdrew (in supplemental withdrawals) nearly $4000. This money had been left over from a refinance I did on my home to pay for some bills. So, thinking I had money, I had written nearly 20 checks, from a few measly dollars to a couple hundred dollars.
Needless to say, because of the theft of funds, every single check bounced and I incurred overdraft fees on EVERY SINGLE one. And since a lot of companies RESUBMIT your check when it bounces the first time, I got hit AGAIN with overdraft fees. ONE company resubmitted a check for $10 FIVE TIMES.

Add another $700 in re-submit overdraft fees
and another $500 - $600 in re-re-submit overdraft fees and in less than two weeks I had nearly $3000 in overdraft fees as you can see. Even if BOFA had recovred my $4000, more than half would have gone to just the fees itself!

And of course, you CAN'T stop payment on a check once its already been presented to the bank.

As soon as I saw the unauthorized withdrawals, I was on the phone with BofA.

It's been nearly nine months of hell. BofA could NOT recover my stolen funds. They simply can't figure out how it was removed in the first place and after all this time. They REFUSE to refund the overdraft fees. They used my HUSBAND's direct deposit checks to cover a majority of the fees, but I stopped that almost immediately once they told me they wouldn't refund the fees.

So, my checking acct is now in the hole on BOFA for nearly $1000. They can kiss my ARSE for that since its THEIR fees that are causing that balance.
I'm at a BETTER bank now with the same services as BOFA but with BETTER customer service.

Once I've paid off my BOFA Visa Credit Card, I'm cancelling that as well. Thankfully, I don't have a large balance on that.
