Duplicate Payment Charged and Refund Delayed for a Month

When I checked my account online the day before the payment date, I found that the final payment I had posted before had disappeared, and there was no option to re-enter it. Then I went to a Citi branch and paid with a check to avoid a late payment. They promised a $0 balance after that payment. The next day I discovered that both payments had gone through.

When I called them, I was promised a refund check in the mail in two weeks. After two and a half weeks I called them and was told two more weeks, because there were no traces of the previous promise. Then I gave up calling, because a phone call cannot be submitted to the court, and I hassled them via e-mail, which is documented correspondence.

After a month of hassle I got my money back, but never Citi again. They attempted this fraud to get late fees, and then they tried to get as much money from me as possible and kept it as long as possible, deceiving me. They are simply thieves.
