Consumers beware, too good to be true is extremely accurate

In July I entered into a contract with Shane Garner at Credit Alliance Group to assist my financial burdens. After researching many companies, they seemed the best deal and were quite responsive to my correspondence. But once the contract was signed, things changed for the worse. I was informed to stop paying my bills for three months and they would contact my creditors with a letter of engagement, stating Credit Alliance Group is representing me.

I made monthly payments to Credit Alliance Group for several months and then began to put money aside, thinking CAG was taking care of business on the back end. However, early in two creditors initiated lawsuits to recover money. I had five different representatives working on my account in a one year period which may have caused this breakdown in communication resulting in two lawsuits, wage garnishment and bank levies.

To heighten this story of despair, when my contract started I owed approximately $20,000 in debt. I myself just closed the last account today, 7/16 and my total repayment has come in just under $20,000. Not quite the 40%-60% of debt owed as indicated in a signed contract of $8,000-$10,000 total repayment. Money was paid to Credit Alliance Group to assist in my debt relief but only yielded incredible stress, humiliation and wasted time.

My increased dissatisfaction prompted me to contact Credit Alliance Group and inquire about a refund for lack of contract fulfillment. The answer to my question was, "we do not work for free". After several conversations I contacted the BBB and Office of Attorney General to file a complaint. This resulted in the owner stating, "Just as America does not deal with terrorist, neither does Credit Alliance Group. An insult on top of a rip-off.
