Bank Of America, FIA Card Services Debt Collection At Its Worst

I have been receiving calls from FMA Alliance as well as other collection agencies since July on a Bank of America/FIA Card Services credit card I paid off in March. Some of the companies claim I owe half the original balance, others want the full original balance like FMA Alliance does. I tried faxing over paperwork (including letters from BOA/FIA proving the debt is paid off in full) and they continue to assert that I owe the debt, and that I MUST pay THEM directly. They also state that I cannot contact BOA/FIA regarding the debt and that I MUST contact them ONLY. I don't think so!!!

FMA Alliance is by far the worst. They have contacted my family to discuss my debt and my whereabouts, harassed me and called at hours outside of 8am to 9pm, insisted I provide them personal information and not contact my credit card company, and refused to cease contacting me. Today I filed with the Better Business Bureau, spoke with the assistant attorney general in my state who started a file on FMA Alliance, and got a lawyer.

I also spoke with Bank of America and confirmed my account was paid off. I'm sending my letter today to FMA Alliance stating that they are not to contact me, and if they do they will be breaking a federal act. FMA Alliance is just a bully trying to collect on debts that aren't valid, but they won't bully me!!!
