Collection Agency making treats by phone & lie in your face

Usually i do not pick up the phone if the caller is not identified. Today i did. I was smart enough to say the person they look for will be home after five P.M. I took a message with phone # & ext. #.

Around 18:30 the phone rang again. This time they had to leave a message (i dont do the same mistake twice). The message said that alexander is looking for me regarding a lawsuit that has been filed against his client. Left a # and ext.#.

Trying to understand what this is all about, i called the # that was left twice that day but no one picked up not only that - they even have the chutzpa (nerve) to ask you to leave your name and phone # that they can reach you at. Of course, i didnt. This phone call helped me get their name.

Here, this site comes into the picture - i googled ucb and god bless the internet, i read some horror stories. Now i know never to even think of answering this liers.

I have some credit cards debts, which i stop paying since january. I did intentionaly because i couldnt find a way out. Bankruptcy was out of the question, at least according to a bunkraptcy lawer. Consolidation is to expensive because you pay a third party.

I will call them my self, very soon, in order to get to some kind of settelment. I heard from this girl who works w. My husband that she had $40,000 i debt. Doing the same thing that i did she mananged to get them to $12,000. Isnt that great?!!! They rather get whatever from you, because once they go to collection they receive 10 cent for the $.

Anyway, i am not going to be worried about this call from alexander. I am going to sleep good tonight.

P.S. I read in many stories that they treathen people they could loose their house. Thats a total lie. Fortunatly theres a law that forbid creditors from forclosing on your house (unless you dont pay your mortgage). The only thing they can do is to place a lean on the house, so you need to take of your debt before you sell it. Just make sure it is not to late.
