Geonline Services - amazing ongoing credit balance no matter how many times I pay off the account without charging anything

I opened an account with ProBass, a sporting goods department store to take advantage of a promotional 10% discount with a charge card. My original balance for this sale was $106.00 apprx. I have never used the card again. To date I have paid off this balance three times for a total of $160. My latest statement reveals I owe another $45. I have not been able to speak to anyone since my second statement when I obtained a payoff amount and paid with an electronic check. Since I find that I am shuffled from one phone menu to the next without ever speaking to a person. I have filed a dispute using the recommended format of the Federal Trade Commission and mailed it using a certified receipt from the US Postal Service.

I have probably spent at least four hours on this. What does it take to get these people to properly apply payments which are timely and to provide customer service which can offer account resolution issues?
